The clipper ship "Marco Polo" was launched in Saint John , New Brunswick, Canada in 1851. Sold in Liverpool, England, she was made into a packet ship to sail between England and Australia. With billowing sails and straining masts, the Marco Polo made the round trip in record time and became known as "The Fastest Ship in the World!"
