Gypsum King - The steam tug Gypsum King was wrecked on St. Mary Ledge, to the south of Grand Manan, on January 2, 1906. Built in Port Richmond, New York, in 1899 for the J. B. King Transportation Company, of New York , the tug towed barges loaded with gypsum from Windsor , Nova Scotia , to plaster markets in the United States .
