Fishing Sloop - The sloop was the vessel of choice for inshore fishermen along our Atlantic coast. With large mainsail and smaller jibs, the sloop was highly maneuverable and well suited for fishermen's work. This fishing sloop has dories in tow, for fishermen to use in overhauling long line trawl, carried in large tubs on deck.
